Clothing
The amount of money a family can spend on clothing varies
widely, from less that $10.00 a month to more than $1,000.
Often we either do not have a budget or our budget does not allow
for the necessity of buying and replacing items of clothing.
After all, clothes wear and fade, tear, lose buttons, stain,
shrink, get too big or too small, or simply go out of style.
And unfortunately for our budgets, clothing is not an
option. If you work outside the home, professional attire
may well be critical to your job security and advancement.
Even more unfortunately, clothing is not cheap. A nice
professional outfit can easily cost $100.00 or more, and even
casual attire will cost close to that. And that's not to
mention our kids clothes whose designer brands like Tommy Hilfiger
can make their clothing as pricey as ours. Add that to the 3
months they wear them before tears, stains, or a growth
spurt renders them Goodwill material.
To think that one coordinating outfit costs as much as a good
housecleaning can throw most of us parents into a tailspin!
In short, on a limited budget, clothing costs can really be a
challenge.
So what can you do?
